I was wondering how much database space is required to setup forum or blog on my website. Does it depend upon the growth rate of your forum or blog?

I guess, it would most probably is based on the amount of information you are planning to have on your forum or blog? If you are going to store lots of text, images or video files etc.. you you could start out with the lowest available plan first, before gradually increasing the space.

However, if by "growth rate of your forum or blog" you mean, how many people access your site, then I think that would be bandwidth not database space.
